What technologies
would you use to present your evaluation? – Rebeca Wallis
PowToon
2) How does your media
product represent particular social groups?
4) What would be the
audience for your media product?
5) How did you
attract/address your audience?
I chose to use PowToon for these particular questions
because I feel that these questions are more creative-based. I think PowToon
would be more appropriate for the audience questions as PowToon would engage
and represent creativity of and for the target audience. I also chose PowToon
because it’s different and fun rather than using the same style of presentation
software. It allows you to embed your own images as well as being able to
incorporate quirky animated images and slide-transitions to create a more
diverse presentation for your questions.
Slideshare
7) Looking
back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the
progression from it to the full product?
I chose Slideshare
for question 7 rather than using software like Powerpoint as Slideshare
displays a more professional approach to presentations. I also decided to
choose Slideshare as you can embed images on the presentation as well as text
which gives visual aid to whatever you’re discussing. Slideshare also allows
you to upload to websites like a blogger so it’s flexible and easy to share
which also makes it easier to evaluate and mark. Also, Slideshare is accessible
to smartphones and tablets and the app makes it easier to work with and gives a
form of mobile-working if anything needs to be altered.
Prezi
1) In what
ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of
real media products?
3) What
kind of Media institution might distribute your media product and why?
6) What
have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this
product?
I decided for my
final technology I would choose Prezi. Like Slideshare Prezi gives a more
professional look to presentations and is easy to use. Also, images, videos and
sounds can be added to Prezi to create a more creative slideshow to represent
your questions and evaluation. Prezi also allows hyperlinks to be uploaded to
websites like Blogger which gives options to share your presentation to anyone
in the UK or around the world, making it easier to connect with a wider
audience.
