19/11/13  = Planning Photo-shoot

At the moment we've been planning our actual photo-shoot, this week we've been focusing on creating our call sheet and just creating plans for our magazine. The booking for the photo shoot will be on Friday the 22nd on a black back drop. So far I've been focused on creating the journalism piece for the DPS as I feel this is most important. I need to start shooting off-scene photos for the contents page while waiting for the photography studio which is also important but, I'm unsure what I actually want.We've also been analysing existing models and magazines that may influence our actual magazine.


This is helping because I'm gathering different ideas that may or may not work for my own shoot. For example, the use of shallow depth of field sometimes is shown in many cover shoots which may be influential to my contents page if the models are out in the open or wherever the shoot may take place. This is also helping because I'm getting a different feel on lighting and poses that could make my cover work, also I noticed a theme in the magazine cover's which makes the cover page much more professional and engaging to the audience.
